Welcome to Year 5!

Our amazing year 5 team consists of Miss Bosworth, Mrs Andrews and Mrs Masterman.

On this page you will find pages for all of our projects. Within these pages, you will find homework, knowledge organisers and pictures of what we are learning in school. Homework is due one per term and children will have a choice of which piece to do. They will also be expected to read at home at least three times per week. Spellings will also be given out on a weekly basis to be learnt at home along with an ongoing expectation of Times Table Rock Stars.

Reading books will be changed on Tuesdays and Fridays. While we appreciate children like to read a 'new book' each time, and this is monitored in school, it is also good practice to reread books for fluency and retention/comprehension. Their reading for pleasure books will be changed every other Friday.

Our PE days are Monday and Tuesday; to try to minimise the amount of belongings children bring to school, children must arrive at school wearing their PE kit and will stay in it all day. Unfortunately if they do forget, they will have to miss out on the session due to not being able to lend out kit. Correct PE kit must be worn.
