Autumn Term 1-Blood Heart

Blood Heart

 

The first of our exciting projects for this academic year is 'Blood Heart'. The children will explore the workings of the heart and how the human circulatory system works. They will investigate the affects of smoking and drinking on the human body and take a closer look at charities who support families affected by heart disease. To finish the project the children will participate in a fundraising event to support these charities. 

 

An accompanying companion project will help the children understand how the blood transports nutrients around the body. 

 

Our Big Question for this project is 'What makes the heart an important organ in the body?'
