Environmental Artists
To begin their new companion project year 6 did some research into environmental artists and the work they had created. With the new understanding that environmental art addresses issues relating to the natural and urban environment, the children explored the different materials used within art pieces and how these could be shaped. Using different art tools the children cut, folded, shaped and glued plastics and cardboard to make a montage. These skills would then be used in a later lesson within the project.
Ask your child to explain one of the environmental art pieces they researched and its message.
