Welcome to Year 3!

On our project sub pages, you will find the homework for this half term, please work with/encourage your child to complete this on time. Spellings will be sent out on a Monday and tested the following Monday, again, please encourage your child to practice these. Spellings will be kept in a yellow homework book which needs to be in school daily, these will be checked on a Monday. Please ensure the reading record, homework book and reading book are looked after as they need to last the year.

Reading books will be changed when required and there will be a raffle ticket system in place for the each time the children read to an adult at home. While we appreciate children like to read a 'new book' each time, and this is monitored in school, it is also good practise to reread books for fluency and retention/comprehension. Their reading for pleasure books will be changed every other Friday.

Our PE day is a Wednesday; to try to minimise the amount of belongings children bring to school, children must arrive at school wearing their PE kit on a Wednesday and will stay in it all day. Unfortunately if they do forget, they will have to miss out on the session due to not being able to lend out kit.

This year, we are lucky to be supported by Miss Ambridge, Mrs Simons and Miss Overton. Together we will work alongside your children to provide the best learning experience for them.
