Phonics - z, zz Watch this video introducing the new sound z and also zz. During it, you will be prompted to listen and join in with the alphabet song so the link is below.

Project For this activity you will need a piece of fruit. Do not eat the fruit until instructed to on the video. This video encourages children to think about what they are eating and to use all their senses to enjoy it. Once you have completed this video with one piece of fruit, then your child could taste a variety of fruits in the same way. Discuss the taste, texture, smell with your child, encouraging your child to talk about their likes and dislikes and focusing on why it is important to eat healthy foods.
