Phonics games
Here are some game ideas you can do to support your child's phonics/reading. You may be able to create some of your own games using the sound cards or tricky word cards. Remember that tricky words can not be sounded out, they are words that need learning by sight. Here is a list of the sounds/tricky words learnt so far if you need to make some new cards:

Flashcard game
Simply, show the children the cards and get them to say what they are. See how fast you can go with being accuate at teh same time.

Splat game
Lay the cards face down....flip the card over with a fly swatter or spatula....say it...splat it...then keep it. Take turns with a partner.

Blending
Create words using 3 cards. Encourage children to 'spot the diagraph', 'sound talk', 'blend'. This will be great to support your child to read.
Add the sound cards or tricky word cards to your favourite board games.
