Phonics Your child will need some assistance in logging onto phonics play twice within this video. You will need a pencil and piece of paper.

Project- Chinese New Year videos Friday is Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the Ox. Watch the two videos on ‘Preparing for Chinese and Lunar New Year’ and ‘Celebrating Chinese and Lunar New Year’. Once you have watched these discuss how we get ready for and celebrate special celebrations like Christmas or birthdays and which things are similar to how people get ready for and celebrate Chinese New Year and which things are different. Watch the video below to make a Chinese Lantern to join in with the celebrations for Chinese New Year.

Project- Make a Chinese New Year Lantern You will need some red card or paper, glue or sellotape or a stapler, scissors, a pencil, a ruler and some yellow or gold craft pieces to stick on the lantern.
