Home Learning Summer Term 2

Please follow the subpage link below to see the learning documents for the Summer Term 2, week beginning Monday 1st June 2020.

Hi Year 5!

I hope you are all keeping well, safe and happy.  I'm missing you all so much and can't wait to see you all again soon.

Below are various different activities for our class to complete whilst we are learning at home.

Beast Creator is our project for after Easter (Term 5) so have a good look at the knowledge organiser and home learning ideas set for this project.

Make sure that you are still reading lots (at least 30 minutes every day).  I'd love to see some book reviews of what you've been reading at home too.  I've included a template below so you know the sort of thing I'd be looking for.

I've set some SPaG work for you to have a look at to keep that ticking over.  Please remember that in all writing work that you are doing, capital letters, full stops and all other types of punctuation are really important.

There are lots of Maths ideas in the 'Learning Packs' section below.  I've added a couple of new sets of things there to keep you going too!  If you'd like daily set maths lessons to follow, I'd suggest using the White Rose resources here which give video explanations and activities to follow including worksheets:

Maybe you could email me to show me some photos of what you've been up to or to show me some of the fabulous learning you've been doing at home?  Use the 'Contact Mrs Jeffery' form at the bottom of this page to get in touch.

Keep smiling!

Mrs Jeffery

Life Skills Menu

Our world is very strange at the moment, but there are positives to it.  One of those is having time to focus on learning new skills and to spend time together.  This is a list of life skills and fun activities.  There are some which you will remember for life and some which you can experience as a family.  I would love to see photographs of you completing each activity.   Pick and choose the ones you would like to have a go at.  How many can you achieve?  Good luck!  Mrs Jeffery 😊

SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar)

It would be hugely beneficial for your child if they could continue doing some SPaG work at home.  I have included below packs on parenthesis which each include a powerpoint to help teach a concept, and worksheets to practise using it:

Arithmetic tests - just to keep your mental maths brains ticking over!
