Lesson 4 - PSHE

Today we are going to look at medicines, we will learn all about how medicines can help people stay healthy and that some people need to take medicines every day.

A medicine is something you take if you aren’t feeling well. Although medicines can make us feel better, sometimes they can make us very ill. If we take too much medicine, take the wrong kind or take it when we don’t need it, we might get sick.

Have a look at the PowerPoint document below and learn all about how to stay safe around medicines.

Then I would like you to complete the worksheet below to decide which items are medicine and which are not. Remember medicines can be liquids in bottles, small things called tablets or cream and lotions.

You can always draw a line down the page of your book and then draw some types of medicines on one side and then some items that are not medicine for example chocolate, sweets, blackcurrant juice or chips.

A story to listen to and enjoy!
