Maths warm up Practise counting backwards with this song. This may help you with subtraction this week.

Maths- Subtraction 4 You will need a number line, some objects, something to write with and write on and some subtraction number sentences (the ones from yesterday if you like, with an equals sign added on the end).

Phonics warm up Watch the tricky word song before the phonics lesson.

Jolly phonics -or This is a song to support the new sound that you will be learning today.

Phonics You will need 10 phoneme frames as instructed on the video.

Project- the story of Nian (version 1) This is one version of the story of Nian.

Project- the story of Nian (version 2) (This is another version of Nian, please choose whichever you prefer for your child to watch)

Now you have watched the story of Nian and understand why people make loud noises (with drums and fireworks) and why red is a lucky colour, you can choose to make a Chinese Dragon or a Chinese Rattle Drum by following the videos below.
