Please watch the video from the Year 2 Playlist on the Video Resource Centre from Mr Roberts. It will give you an explanation for the work set this week.

Monday 7th December 2020

Lesson 1: Times Table Rockstars - spend at least 15 minutes on here to improve those times table facts.

Lesson 2: Maths - Green CGP Book - Pages 10 - 15.

Lesson 3: Handwriting - Pages 8 - 11.

Lesson 4: Phonics - All groups to complete pages 12 - 13 in your CGP Phonics group.

Lesson 5: Music - Choose your favourite Christmas song. You can either: learn the words and record yourself singing it or write down why you like the song so much and why it is your favourite.

Tuesday 8th December 2020

Lesson 1: Times Table Rockstars - spend at least 15 minutes on here to improve those times table facts.

Lesson 2: Maths - Weekly workout CGP book - Pages 8 - 11.

                             Mental workout CGP book - Exercises 4 and 5.

Lesson 3: Punctuation and Grammar - CGP book Pages 2 - 6.

Lesson 4: Phonics - All groups to complete pages 14 - 15 in their CGP phonics group.

Lesson 5: Project - As we are getting towards the end of this term, we are going to be recapping what you have learnt using the knowledge organisers. Please complete the following steps:

1) Look at the knowledge Organiser for The Enchanted Woodland.

2) After spending some time with the knowledge organiser, complete the ENCHANTED WOODLAND quiz in the video resources centre.

Try to complete as much of it as you can without looking at the knowledge organiser but you can use it if you get really stuck!

3) Listen to the ENCHANTED WOODLAND answer video to check your answers. Then email the adults in Year 2 to let them know how well you got on!

Wednesday 9th December 2020

Lesson 1: Times Table Rockstars - spend at least 15 minutes on here to improve those times table facts.

Lesson 2: Maths - For this lesson follow the steps below.

1) Complete the Starter Questions.

2) Watch the video for today's lesson which will explain the answers and methods.

Lesson 3: English - I would like the children to write their own version of Hansel and Gretel. They have been given two days to complete this. So the task could be split as follows:

 - Planning their story (15minutes).

 - Write up to where the children find the house made of sweets.

 - Re-read and edit what they have already completed.

 - Complete the remainder of the story.

 - Proof read work to check for errors and correct these.

 - Read work aloud to someone (could even record it and send to Year 2 adults).

Lesson 4: Phonics - All groups to complete pages 16 - 17 in their CGP phonics book.

Lesson 5: P.E - Please follow the link below to access some of the workouts from The Body Coach.

Thursday 10th December 2020

Lesson 1: Times Table Rockstars - spend at least 15 minutes on here to improve those times table facts.

Lesson 2: Maths - For this lesson follow the steps below.

1) Complete the Starter Questions.

Lesson 3: English - Continue with Wednesday's task of writing version of Hansel and Gretel.

Lesson 4: Phonics - All groups to complete pages 18 - 19 in their CGP phonics book.

Lesson 5: Project  - Complete the steps below:

1) Look at the knowledge organiser for The Scented Garden.

2) After spending some time with the knowledge organiser, complete the SCENTED GARDEN quiz in the video resources centre.

Try to complete as much of it as you can without looking at the knowledge organiser but you can use it if you get really stuck!

3) Listen to the SCENTED GARDEN answer video to check your answers. Then email the adults in Year 2 to let them know how well you got on!

Remember to use this time to read your school reading book as well as the reading for pleasure books that you took home.

Lesson 4: Phonics - All groups to complete pages 20 - 21 in your CGP phonics book.
