Spilsby in the Community

Very poignant 2 minute silence at the Franklin statue this morning with the Spilsby British Legion. Impeccably observed by our year 5 and 6 children who then went and visited the cemetery to lay wreaths and crosses on the war graves.

Amazing work for our Head boy and Head girl this morning at the Spilsby Remembrance Parade; shown here with representatives from #KEVIA they were all brilliant! Well done! #proud #wewillrememberthem #armisticeday #lestweforget

Following their visit, Spilsby Sainsbury’s were so generous that they gave each child a pumpkin to take back to school! Naturally, with it being Halloween, we just had to draw scary faces in them! Thank you to our local Sainsbury’s!

Year 3 and 4 had an amazing experience today seeing all the sights in Sainsbury’s! We were taken on a tour through the supermarket where we discussed all sorts of information about fruits and vegetables. We went in the freezers, had a look in the bakery, and even tried some food too.

A brilliant day for the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' for Macmillan Caner research. Thanks to all our parents, carers and children for their donations- £88 raised for this amazing charity.

Lovely photos of our pupils who visited Eresby Care Home this week to have tea, sing and chat to the residents who stay there. I have it on good authority they refused to leave till they had sang to all!

Reception have been visited by Kindness Elves over the last two weeks and have completed lots of kindness missions with Pop & Sparkle. We especially loved helping our community by collecting food & donating it to our local food bank
