Reception

An amazing day by our Reception children in their first ever class trip to Tattershall castle! They learned about different parts of the castle, took part in different workshops, dressed up in armour and even climbed all 144 steps to the top of the castle! Amazing!

Reception B trying prawn crackers, noodles and lychees to celebrate Chinese New year! #yum

The Barnpot Theatre came in to Reception B and C to do a very active workshop with us all about nature. We learnt about fruits and vegetables and how to tell the difference between them and worked as a team to do an obstacle course to collect fruits and vegetables and sort them. We also learnt about some wildlife and met some special friends in the shape of a dog and a pheasant. Thanks to Nature Ellie, John and all their friends in making it such a fun afternoon and helping us learn so much!

Reception B and C had an amazing time at their glittery winter wonderland stay and play. We had great fun making things with our grown ups to decorate our class following our winter wonderland plans. We can't wait to decorate our class! ❄⛄

What a success! A big well done to our team in EYFS and a big thank you to our children for planning a brilliant party with their teachers & for all our fabulous parents for coming along to celebrate the learning from this term #rainbowparty

Amazing diva-lamp making in Reception to celebrate Diwali. Our youngest children are really beginning to develop a good understanding of the world around them.

As part of our learning about 'Keeping Safe', we were very excited to meet PC Standbrook. She spoke to us about the role of a police officer. The children had some great questions and comments for her.

Reception went to Skegness Aquarium today for their memorable experience and what a day they had!

Reception had a wild time at Woodside Wildlife Park as part of Reception's Wild Adventures. Thanks to James & team for a brilliantly organised day. We learnt so much, had so much fun & felt so inspired by the end, that every child held/touched a creature!#brave #proud #progress

Reception had a fantastic afternoon with their parents and carers making jungle crafts to help decorate their classroom for their new topic. Thanks to all of you who stayed and played with us, we had a wild time!
