Hello and welcome to Reception!

This is our class page and here you will find all the information needed to help support your child’s learning. You will also find what we will be covering in each topic, along with photographs of what the children have been up to at school. I have outlined some key information about the academic year of 2022/2023 below.

Reception Class Staff

Reception is extremely lucky to have support from Mrs Curtis, Mrs Loake and Mrs Vickers, along with myself, Miss Poxon.

Reception will be having PE on Mondays and Wednesdays, so your child needs to come to school in their PE kit on these days. Please ensure that they are dressed appropriately as briefed in your welcome pack, as their PE kit will be classed as their school uniform on these days. PE kit should be black/blue shorts, leggings or jogging bottoms and a blue school PE polo shirt. Tracksuits are fine in colder weather. Trainers or plimsoles should be black or a dark colour to reflect the PE ‘uniform’.

Please ensure that your child wears the correct uniform to school following our uniform policy as detailed in this link: School Uniform | Spilsby Primary School.

Please send spare underwear and a spare set of clothes in with your child just in case they may need to change. Please also provide your child with a coat or jacket even if the weather looks fine in the morning as this can change throughout the day and we like to use the outdoor area as much as possible and

Please keep checking the class page and Tapestry to see all the fun activities the children have been up to and to keep up to date with any upcoming events.

If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me using the form below, sending a message on Tapestry, leaving a message at the office or you can talk to me at the gate in the morning or afternoon.

I look forward to a very enjoyable year getting to know and working with you and your child.

Many thanks,

Miss Poxon
