Hello!

Welcome to the Year 4 class page where we will share the exciting learning happening in our classroom. 

Each term we will be basing our learning on different exciting projects. 

Autumn 1 - Burps, Bottoms and Bile

Autumn 2 - Misty Mountain, Winding River

Spring 1 - Ancient Civilisations

Spring 2 - Invasion

Summer 1 - Mighty Metals

Summer 2 - Predator

We have lots of brilliant things planned for each project so keep popping back to see what we have been up to! 

Our class will have PE on Mondays with Mr Jones from JB Sports and our second PE session is on Wednesdays. Please make sure your child comes to school wearing appropriate PE kit every Monday and Wednesday.

We will have a spelling lesson on Monday afternoons when the children will be tested on the previous week's spellings and be set new spellings. Please help your child to learn these at home. 

As always, reading is hugely important and we encourage all children to read and enjoy reading independently. Please read with your children at home and where possible help to introduce them to texts that you think will pique their interest.

Please encourage your child to login to Times Tables Rockstars as often as possible (at least 10 minutes a day would be brilliant!).  Regular practice of the times tables provides a sound basis for lots of areas of Maths and TTRS is an engaging and exciting way of practising.

We are incredibly lucky to have the brilliant Mrs Hanson as our TA.
