Narratives- inspired by the Heart and the Bottle

Narratives

Year 6 were inspired by the story ‘ The heart and the bottle’ by Oliver Jeffers, to create their own narratives. First, they watched the video clip and built a word bank of vocabulary to express the different emotions experienced by the main character. Next they used figurative language to personify the heart. The final piece was then created using the heart as the main character: showing its journey through happiness, loss, emptiness and finally enlightenment to feel joy again. Enjoy.
