Phases of the Moon explained
Year 6 worked in small groups to learn how the Moon moved through a 28day cycle. They completed research using their knowledge organiser, video footage and a class discussion to help understand how light travels in a straight line. They learned the names of all the phases and how these were dependent on where the Moon was in its orbit of the Earth.
