Welcome to our class page!

On this page you will be able to find links to all of the recent activities that have been completed by Year 2 and other useful information.

Children will receive a newsletter, home learning document and other project related information in school for each project this academic year. Extra copies can be viewed on the sub pages below.

Year 2 will have P.E on a Monday and Tuesday, so will need to come into school in their P.E kit on this day. Please ensure that they are dressed appropriately - a black/navy tracksuit or black/navy leggings are fine for the colder weather.

In line with school's new reading and phonics scheme, children will be given a new reading book on a Monday. It is imperative that it is brought into school daily, we children will read the same book within school time. The aim of this is to increase the children's ability to read fluently. We will be continuing with the reading challenge in Year 2, so please aim to read with your child during the week to contribute towards this challenge.

Children will be given spelling lists each term containing the spellings for the whole of the term. Each sheet states when the set of spellings needs to be learned for. Children can stick these sheets into their yellow homework books for safekeeping if preferred.

Year 2 are extremely lucky this year to have support from Mrs Curtis and Mrs Salmon throughout the week and they look forward to working with all the pupils this year!
