STEM activities
Year 6 completed some STEM activities as part of their ongoing work with the National Viking Link Project. It also linked beautifully with their World War lessons and understanding how troops and equipment were mobilised across Europe and the World.
The first activity -bridge building -required teamwork, precision measuring and skilled cutting. Once all parts were ready the bridge was built and tested for strength.
The second activity was to create the rivets that could withstand a heavy object resting on it.
All groups showed great determination, perseverance and collaborative attitudes to both tasks.
