Hi Year 4!!
Last term we were learning all about Buddhism. So far we have talked and learned about the life of a Buddhist Monk and the importance of the Rains Retreat. Perhaps you could explain what you already know to your adult?
Today I’d like you to watch the short clip from the below link. Then could you make a list of the sights, smells and sounds you might experience if you were at the festival? Try to include some adjectives to make your descriptions come to life! Next, could you make a few notes about the generosity of the local community? How hard they work for the ceremony and what it means to them.
