When you are writing a journal, it is important that the meanings of words are clear. You will need to understand some technical vocabulary for your journal. 

Use online dictionaries to find the meaning of the terms 

adaptation

natural selection

variation

evolution

extinction

fossil

species

Write a definition for each word. Do not copy it from the dictionary. Use your own words to explain what it means.
