Year 6 Class Page
A warm welcome to our class page.
Here you will find information covering the activities that year 6 will complete through this academic year.
Links at the bottom of the page will take you to each project and will have specific information regarding homework and the associated project administration, as well as regular updates of photos highlighting the activities that the children have participated in.
The fourth of our projects this year is entitled "Blood Heart". The children will explore the circulatory system and take a closer look at the human heart: it's veins, chambers and arteries. They will research the groundbreaking discoveries of how blood groups came to be classified and the negative effects of smoking and alcohol on the human body. They will also participate in or observe an animal heart dissection to help identify external and internal features.
If you have any ideas, experiences or would like to contact me regarding your child's learning please use the email link below.
The children have already been given out their homework for this project, but there is a pdf link in the project page below for your information.
The children will continue with their CGP homework and weekly spellings. Please encourage your child to complete these tasks independently at home and to then discuss any areas with you that they do not understand. Homework Club will continue to run on a Tuesday lunchtime- if the CGP has not been completed at home by hand-in day (Tuesday) attendance at the lunchtime club will be compulsory.
P.E. will continue to be coached by JB Sports Please ensure a school regulation P.E. kit is in school with suitable footwear from a Monday to Friday incase of timetable changes.
