A Very Warm Welcome to The Year 3 Class Page

Welcome to our class page!

On this page you will be able to find links to all of the recent activities that have been completed by Class 3 and other useful information.

Our fourth project this academic year is Road Trip USA! A geography based project, which will explore the human and physical geographical features of the country as well as exploring the lives of Native Americans.

The children will take part in a memorable experience on Monday 24th February within school and as stated on the newsletter, we are hoping to complete an outdoor activity so sensible shoes for that will need to be brought into school for the children to wear. Further information about our project work can be accessed using the link at the bottom of this page.

To celebrate the end of the Road Trip USA! Project and the end of the Spring Term, Years 3 and 4 will be having a project themed day on Wednesday 1st April 2020. Children have received a letter about but please see the letters section on this website if you need another copy.

Homework was handed out to children before half term and there is also a copy of the sheet on the Road Trip USA page. Children are required to complete one piece of homework from each column of the sheet for the three hand in dates stated at the top of the sheet.

Year 3 will continue to have two P.E sessions across the week; one with JB Sports and the other with the class teacher. Please ensure that you bring in your P.E kit on a Monday morning and then take it home on a Friday as this means the children will have their kit should there be a change in timetable.

Now that the children are in the Junior stage of school they will be encouraged to be more independent with their learning and resources within school. Please continue to support your child's reading and spelling practice - making a note in their reading record.

Spelling tests take place on a Thursday, with the new spellings being handed out in the same session. Children who score 10/10 in the test will receive two credits for their success!

If you would like any further information or have any ideas/experiences that could benefit the children's learning, then please do not hesitate to contact me either using the email link below, leaving a message at the office or catching me at the end of the day.

Many thanks

Mr Roberts
