Tashlich- Casting off to start a fresh new year

Rosh Hashanah

As part of their religious studies 6D have been looking at the Jewish festival of Rosh Hashanah. They have discovered that the Jewish New Year starts in September and has a Tashlich ceremony, casting off of bad deeds, upsetting words, wrong doings and sins from the last year and starting the year afresh. They had some apple and honey to represent starting a sweet new year and wrote their sins down on the path to wash away and start anew.
