Roald Dahl Day

As we had the photographer in school last week on Roald Dahl Day, we didn't get dressed up but still celebrated the day with activities in our classrooms. Year 2 made a dream jar; as they put something in the jar they had to tell the class their dreams... 💫 While Year 6s made up, funny names based on the books. 😆

Encouraging children to read and love books is vital and we are constantly finding new initiatives. In Year 2 they have started their reading challenge, to see who will get the most bubbles in their mixture by half term! All children take part in 'DEAR', Drop everything and read and Year 5C took part in the session to gain points on the reading challenge 📚
