Last week was not only a great week as it was back at school, but also it meant the start of new, exciting topics and memorable experiences to get us fired up!
Year 3 and 4 visited the local park as part of their topic Might Metals.
The children took part in a numerous activities such as: parachute games, considering the forces used in different games; orienteering, testing different surfaces with magnets and looking at the different forces in action. The children looked at how friction plays a role in the speed an object wrapped in different materials travels down a slide and they also had the chance to look at how different size paper aeroplanes can impact on the distance it travels when thrown.
