As part of our Stargazers topic, Year 6 used stop-motion animation on their i-pads to create short science explanation films about why we have night and day. During the project, we also made our own Earth globes from polystyrene balls, painting on the continents and seas.
Today we had the fantastic opportunity to share our films with Year 2, as it links directly to their Moon Zoom topic. They were a great audience, listening carefully and giving lots of helpful feedback to our animators.
Year 2 then invited us to joint then in a fun exercise involving the propulsion of rocket balloons across the hall, thinking about how real rockets move during take off.
