Welcome to our class page!
On this page you will be able to find links to all of the recent activities that have been completed by Class 4 and other useful information.
Our third exciting project for this school year is ‘Playlist’. A music based project exploring the sounds of music from around the world as well as from different musical eras. The launch event will take place within school on the first week back after the holidays, which will just be for the children.
We are also planning to have a concert at the end of the project on Monday 11th February 2019, starting at 4:30pm. An invite with further information will be sent out at the start of next term. In line with our concert, we would like the children to create their own T-shirts as a souvenir of the event. To aid with the costs of this project, we are kindly asking for a £1 donation towards recourses.
I have also attached a learning overview for the new project, which highlights the activities the children will be doing over this term. P.E., R.E. French and Math will continue to be taught as separate subjects.
P.E. will be on a Tuesday afternoon and again with JB sports on a Wednesday morning. I would recommend bringing in P.E kits on a Monday and taking them home on a Friday to be washed for the following week. Please check your child’s P.E. kit follows the school uniform rules and still fits, as spares are few and far between. Please also check their plimsolls or trainers have a good grip for running activities. With the colder weather drawing in, I would recommend ensuring that your child has warm jumper to wear in PE.
Spelling tests will be on a Tuesday, with new spellings being given out on this day too.
It is also worth mentioning, that as the weather becomes colder in this time of year and rain more likely, please ensure your child has a coat each day they come into school. Additionally, please ensure school shoes are sensible and appropriate for the weather conditions.
If you would like any further information or have any ideas/experiences that could benefit the children's learning, then please do not hesitate to contact me either using the email link below, leaving a message at the office or catching me at the end of the day.
If you have any queries or need to get in contact, send me an email and I will reply as soon as possible. Thank you.
