A Very Warm Welcome to The Year 3 Class Page

Welcome to our class page!

On this page you will be able to find links to all of the recent activities that have been completed by Class 3 and other useful information.

The final project that we are going to be looking at this academic year is 'Blue Abyss'. This is an imaginative learning project which will look at the marine life of the earth's oceans. The children will launch the project in the first week of the new term and there is also an exciting trip planned to The Deep on Tuesday 17th July - a letter was sent out to the children before half term.

Further information about our project work can be accessed using the link at the bottom of this page.

Homework was handed out before the end of term, this takes the form of task based activities. Children need to complete one activity from each section: Maths; English and Topic, therefore completing three activities out of the six choices. There are three hand in dates across the term highlighted on the homework sheet.

P.E for Year 3 is currently on a Monday morning with JB Sports and again on a Tuesday afternoon, however please ensure that correct kit is in school from a Monday morning and then taken home on Friday to allow for any unforeseen changes.

Now that the children are in the Junior stage of school they will be encouraged to be more independent with their learning and resources within school. Please continue to support your child's reading and spelling practice - making a note in their reading record.

Spelling tests take place on a Wednesday morning, with the new spellings being handed out in the same session. Children who score 10/10 in the test will receive two credits for their success!

If you would like any further information or have any ideas/experiences that could benefit the children's learning, then please do not hesitate to contact me either using the email link below, leaving a message at the office or catching me at the end of the day.

Many thanks

Mr Roberts
