Welcome to Year 3
A warm welcome to our class page.
Our final topic for this school year is 'Tribal Tales', a History based project looking at prehistoric Britain over the Stone, Bronze and Iron ages.
The children have fully immersed themselves into all the projects and are very much looking forward to our accompanying trip to 'Flag Fen'. They will start their learning with a variety of archaeological and craft activities all set in a prehistoric landscape.
Check out our newly added 'Urban Pioneers' display in the reception area, displaying a variety of the children's work across the topic. Also have a look at our recent topic page, linked through this class page, which will show you in photo format all the exciting activities the children were involved in last term.
Further information for our new topic can be found through the link at the bottom of this page. The overview will outline the activities and learning that will take place over this coming term.
P.E. will be on a Wednesday and a Thursday afternoon still. The children will continue to participate in sporting activities with Sixth form Sports Leaders from KEVIA.
JB Sports will now be focusing on athletic outside sports activities in readiness for Sports day.
Please ensure the correct kit and suitable footwear is available in school all week in case of unforeseen changes to the timetable.
Outdoor clothing and suitable footwear can also be bought into school,
as we have continued plans to use the 'Natureland' and school environment within activities throughout this term.
The Topic based project homework will continue with weekly math and English homework set and handed out on a Monday. This will need to be completed in their Homework book and handed in by the following Thursday.
Weekly spellings will be tested on Thursday afternoon.
Please also ensure you have your reading book in school daily and practice your reading with an adult or older sibling regularly.
If you need to contact me to discuss any issues please use the e/mail form below or feel free to pop into school.
I look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
