During Years 5 and 6's next project- Frozen Kingdom- they will be visiting Skegness Seal Sanctuary as part of their memorable experience to launch the project.
Every year seal pups, which are washed up on the beaches around Skegness, abandoned or separated from their mothers by the treacherous tides. The lucky ones are brought to Natureland's Seal Hospital where are they are cared for by dedicated staff members.
The school councillors noticed how seal pups were cared for and wondered how they could help.
In a whole-school assembly, they asked for donations of bath towels, in order to keep the pups warm and dry during their rehabilitation.
