WHAT A WOW EVENT TO END THIS PROJECT!

Year 4 joined our Year 3 friends today and headed down to our woodland area, Natureland, for a campfire. The children dressed as Native Americans, Cowboys and cowgirls - as did staff. We gathered round a real campfire and toasted marshmallows. We then turned them into the U.S. favourite- s'mores! After the tasty treats we enjoyed a Native American myth about the origins of fire. Nothing beats a campfire story! Then the children enjoyed some time exploring and sketching. We finished off back around the fire, beating out the rhythms of the traditional Native American song 'The Morning Song' and joining in with a few rousing choruses of 'Campfire's Burning' , led by Miss Bosworth. We hope you enjoy the photos; there are more on the Year 3 page , as well.
