Our Aims

Our Aims

Spilsby Primary School aims to provide a caring and enriching school environment where each child will be encouraged to develop personal, social, academic. physical and creative skills for lifelong learning.

On admission to school your child has already received at least four years of education; adults at home have hopefully provided the necessary learning situations and experiences. The school now becomes part of your child's life and we want to extend that early learning and experience by providing purposeful teaching of a broad and relevant curriculum working in partnership with home.

We try to provide a happy and secure learning environment to enable children to

  •  achieve high standards in all areas of the curriculum
  • have equal access to all areas of the curriculum
  • work co-operatively, and independently, as necessary
  • value their own work and the work of others
  • develop self confidence and self discipline
  • develop good social habits
  • appreciate the environment and our heritage
  • discover and experiment as part of their quest for knowledge
  • develop the correct use of speech and other means of communictaion
  • receive the foundation for good citizenship so they are able to participate in an ever changing society.
